My latest short documentary, When the Storms Hit, features photographer Kevin Painchaud as he documents the devastating 2023 Santa Cruz storms, while also tracing the broader challenges facing local journalism. It will have it’s premiere this year at the Santa Cruz Film Festival, taking place October 8–12, 2025.
