Introduction!
Welcome. I’m Sean — storyteller, creative collaborator, and cold brew enthusiast.
I’m a director, producer, and editor with over fifteen years of experience telling stories that resonate—whether through short documentaries, branded content, or animated explainers. My work has been featured by National Geographic, CNN, and The New York Times, and has taken me from mountain roads in Nepal to kitchen tables across the U.S., documenting everything from climate change and health equity to rare diseases, food insecurity, and immigration.
But filmmaking is just one chapter in a broader creative life. I’ve founded two independent record labels—Sockets Records and Atlantic Rhythms—designed album covers, performed original music at the Kennedy Center, and DJed more than 250 weddings. Each of those experiences continues to shape how I approach storytelling: with an ear for rhythm, an eye for detail, and a deep respect for emotion.
As Creative Director of Think Out Loud, the full-service production company I run with a trusted partner, I collaborate with nonprofits, NGOs, and mission-driven brands to create video content that connects—honestly, impactfully, and strategically. Our work has been recognized with awards like the 2025 Silver Telly, 2022 Platinum Hermes, and 2021 Platinum Viddy, but more importantly, it’s helped organizations move their audiences to care and take action.
This blog is where I share what I’ve learned—lessons in filmmaking, insights into strategy, and thoughts on how to stretch creative budgets without sacrificing heart. Whether you’re a nonprofit leader, a communications strategist, or a fellow creative looking for inspiration, I hope you’ll find something useful here.
Thanks for stopping by. Let’s make something that matters.
